Finally... I think I understand Stick Game

After Ryan's demonstration speech on the Native American Stick Game I think I am beginning to understand it.

 Here Blade assisted him.
When he didn't have a drum he used the metal on the desk. He also sang a chant for us.
It was sure fun to watch the sixth graders play boys against girls.
Ryan shared how his ancestors have passed this game down from generation to generation.

8th Graders Preparing for the Senior Send-Off

I don't know if there was more paint on the banner or the walls or the floor!
Other cards were made also.
Congratulations seniors.

Speeches in Sixth Grade

This week the sixth grade students have been doing demonstration speeches.
We  learned how to draw different animals and and many artists were willing to share.

We also learned how to make oatmeal cookies and even got to sample fresh baked cookies.

Tomorrow we get to learn basketball shots and how to play the Native American Stick Game.
